Every journey begins with a single step, and mine started in Edmonton, where I embarked on my career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). With a passion for helping others and a desire to make a difference, I dove into my studies and began my professional life o the Medical and Day Surgery unit's here in Moose Jaw. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of an incredible journey filled with growth, challenges, and profound personal experiences.

Experience in the Medicine and Day Surgery Unit

Working in the medicine and day surgery unit provided me with invaluable experience and insights into patient care. I was fortunate to work alongside skilled professionals who taught me the importance of compassion and empathy in healthcare. Each day brought new challenges, from managing post-operative care to supporting patients through their recovery journeys. This experience solidified my commitment to nursing and reinforced my belief in the power of compassionate care.

A Shift to the Emergency Room

After several years in the medicine and day surgery unit, I transitioned to the Emergency Room (ER), where I have spent the last 8+ years. The fast-paced environment of the ER has tested my skills and resilience, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to care for patients in their most vulnerable moments, and each encounter has deepened my understanding of the human experience. The ER has taught me the importance of quick thinking, adaptability, and personalized treatment.

Personal Experiences That Shaped My Path

My journey took a significant turn when I faced health challenges within my own family. Witnessing a loved one struggle with health issues opened my eyes to the need for conventional and more holistic approaches, working together. After seeking osteopathic treatments for myself, I experienced firsthand the profound impact that holistic care can have on overall well-being. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in holistic healing, with the goal of helping others navigate their health journeys.

Balancing Family and Career

As a mother of two and a wife to a supportive husband, I understand the delicate balance between family life and a demanding career. My family is my anchor, providing me with the strength and motivation to pursue my passions. They remind me of the importance of compassion, not just in my professional life, but also in the way I nurture and support those I love. This balance has shaped my approach to both nursing and holistic healing, emphasizing the need for care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Looking Ahead

With each passing year, I am more committed to my path in holistic health. I believe that my experiences as an LPN, combined with my personal journey, uniquely position me to help others find healing and support. I look forward to continuing my education in Osteopathy and expanding my ability to serve those in need. My journey is far from over, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of my patients and their families.

I saw Ivory for a severe pinched nerve in my neck. After two treatments the pain was completely gone. I would highly recommend her with any of your health concerns.
